Carolyn is a retired teacher, fun-loving mother, grandmother and cat lover. Carolyn's career revolved around teaching, uplifting, complimenting, hugging, and reading to and with children. Carolyn's love of teaching reading to struggling readers made her smile. Seeing the joy on children's faces when they realized they could read was her ultimate reward!
Carolyn's books were inspired by her grandchildren and the love they have for their family. The Care-Kids Stories series portrays character building skills learned and used along the way with her students, along with a well-needed dose of kindness and caring for all.
Carolyn has a Bachelors Degree in Education and is an accomplished Educator as a National Board Certified Teacher, the highest standards in the field of Education. She specialized in Early Childhood Education and Development. Carolyn is honored in Who's Who Among American Teachers for excellence in Education. She studied the works of Marie Clay, the creator of the Reading Recovery Program, and holds a Masters level certification in Reading Recovery. Carolyn created customized lessons for struggling readers, changing the lives of many children. She also has a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
