She specialized in Early Childhood Education and Development. Carolyn is honored in Who's Who Among American Teachers for excellence in Education. She studied the works of Marie Clay, the creator of the Reading Recovery Program, and holds a Masters level certification in Reading Recovery. Carolyn created customized lessons for struggling readers, changing the lives of many children. She also has a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
